A different kind of climate camp.

Footprints curates shared outdoor experiences that create community, deepen environmental awareness, and nurture compassionate and confident changemakers.

Founded by runners. Grounded in the world.

The Footprints Camp experience pairs dedicated experts with outdoor enthusiasts to create community-centered climate action projects. One week and a lifetime of mentorship.

We’re building a community of grassroots climate action by nurturing an inclusive, uplifting community of mentorship.

The journey so far

We’re reimagining Camp for 2024

Here’s what you can expect:

  • More than 15 outdoor enthusiasts with varied interests and experiences will join you, alongside expert mentors from across the world. You don’t need to be an expert, you need to be excited.

  • You’ll arrive to camp with one idea (or maybe ten). We’ll help you create a measurable and collective climate-action project.

  • Together, we will learn, we will plan, we will create, we will struggle, we will grow, and we will run.

  • And the friendships you make here are friendships for life.

    — Kilian Jornet: professional mountain runner, skier, and founder of the Kilian Jornet Foundation

  • “I’m a big fan of Footprints because it brings together an inspiring community of runners working on climate solutions.”

    — Clare Gallagher: professional trail runner and winner of the 2019 Western States 100

  • “Footprints Running is catalyzing ways to turn your passion into purpose and at the same time building a community of like-minded people to lean into along their journey to help create a better tomorrow for everyone.”
